Car Parking
Please book free onsite car parking with your room at no extra cost, subject to availability.
There is also a pay and display car park directly to the front of the property and there is free parking available on the side streets.

Electric Vehicle (EV) charging
Electric vehicle charging is available at Geckos Rest, via our untethered (type 2) Zappi chargers. Please note charges apply.

The Small Print
Check-in is between 2pm and 6pm but if your room is ready before you will be welcome to check-in early. For guests traveling by public transport, we may be able to offer a later check in but please check before booking. Check out time by 10.30am

Maximum of two people per room. There is no capacity for extra beds in a room.
We need to be notified if travelling with children at the time of booking. Children under 2 years are charged £7.50 per night (this includes free use of travel cot, if required) and are not allowed to share beds.
The maximum number of children's cots in a room is 1 and needs to be confirmed at the time of booking as not all of our rooms are suitable for a cot.

We do not accept ‘stag’ or ‘hen’ parties or those attending.

We do not take Groups greater than 4 people (in a maximum of 3 rooms), even if members of the group have booked independently. Any groups will be refused entry and the full amount of the booking is still payable.

Card details are taken at the time of booking:
Flexible rate: This can be amended or cancelled up to 21 days before your arrival date free of charge. Full payment is taken 21 days before arrival which is then non-refundable.
Non refundable rate: Full payment is taken at the time of booking which is then non refundable.

Directions
Geckos Rest is within a mile of the bus and train stations and 6 miles from Newquay airport (please scroll down for more information).

By Car
Type TR7 2BP into your sat nav you are looking for Geckos Rest 77 Mount Wise, we are directly opposite the entrance to Mount Wise car park in Newquay. For those that are using maps:

Arriving via the A30 (A392)
For those travelling on the A30 take the Newquay signed exit onto the A39 (3rd exit off roundabout at the end of the slip road) and follow this for 1 mile until you reach another roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto the A392 and follow this for 5.5 miles then at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto West Road (A392) and follow this for 1/2 mile. At the next roundabout take the first exit and then at the next roundabout you need to take the 2nd exit onto Trevemper Road (A392) follow this for 1/2 mile. Then take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout onto the Gannel Road and follow this until you reach Mount Wise roundabout where taking the 3rd exit will have you travelling in the right direction on Mount Wise. After 1/2 mile you will find us on your right hand side opposite the entrance to Mount Wise car park.

Arriving via the A39 (A3059)
Those arriving on the A39 take the 3rd exit of the roundabout signed for Newquay (A3059) and follow this for 5.5 miles. On arriving at the next roundabout take the last exit onto Quintrell Road and follow this over the next two mini roundabouts leading onto Henver Road. Go over the mini roundabout by Tesco’s Local and follow the road into the town centre where you will be taken up Berry Road. At the top of Berry Road turn right at the traffic lights (by Escape lodge) into Mount Wise. You will find us on your left about 1/4 mile up Mount Wise.

By Plane
Newquay airport is located 6 miles from Geckos Rest and will take around 20 minutes by taxi. For plane times and routes please go to Newquay Airports Home page at www.newquaycornwallairport.com.

By Train
Geckos rest is located just over half a mile from Newquay Train station so is in walking distance, although up hill. Turn left out of Station Parade and head along Cliff Road until you reach Berry Road on your left. Turn left up Berry Road which will turn into Mount Wise where Geckos Rest is located on the left-hand side of the road. By Coach
The coaches arrive at the Manor Road Bus Park which is less than half a mile from Geckos Rest. Proceed down Manor Road in the direction of the traffic until you see a passageway on the right-hand side of the road. Proceed up this passageway and cross St Michael's Road were the passageway continues. At the top of the passageway, you will find Geckos Rest on the opposite side of the road.
